Provides administrative support for the legal and mission operations department in support of LLS’ mission. This role is a shared support to both the legal department and mission operations - paralegal or legal assistant is highly preferred.

 *This is a long-term assignment paid by a third-party vendor*

Reports to: assigned staff




    • Filing (mostly electronically)
    • Calendaring
    • Updating Excel documents
    • Reviewing documents/contracts for completeness
    • Interfacing with business contacts
    • Act as liaison between Mission Operations and Legal
    • Submit requests through the legal portal for review
    • Update template Grant Agreements with awardee information
    • Communicate with institutional officials regarding status of Agreements & potential changes to be made
    • Track statuses and changes in Excel
    • Meet with Legal to accept or reject potential changes based on appropriate state law and/or institutional policy
    • Ensure Agreements are fully executed by deadline


Education & Experience Requirements: 

  • Paralegal or legal assistant strongly preferred; 5-7 years office/administrative experience 
  • 2-5 years experience in grant making for non-profit
  • Familiarity with working on contracts
  • Strong database management
  • Project management experience

Position Requirements: 

  • 50+wpm keyboard skills with accuracy.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite and Windows programs.
  • Good communication including verbal and written, strong follow-up skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Knowledge of standard business machines, computers and printers.
  • Professional and sound judgment, ability to work independently.
