    Overview

    Performs diverse projects and activities for the chapter to support and enhance revenue generation in support of LLS’ mission.

     

    Reports to: Executive Director or assigned staff

    Additional Position Information

    The Nashville Office of the Tennessee Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is seeking an organized, hard-working and flexible individual to perform diverse projects and activities to support and enhance income production for multiple campaigns within the Chapter.

    Responsibilities

    • Draft and schedule social media posts for all campaigns on various platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn)
    • Edit and update organizational web site as needed
    • Support special events with event marketing and correspondence as needed
    • Collect stories, photos and data from multiple, varied in and out-of-office sources for website and social media
    • Prepares campaign related materials and correspondence
    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of donations and matching gifts
    • Manage donor acknowledgement process (mailing donor acknowledgements, tax letters, etc.)
    • Compiles, organizes and maintains reports in Excel
    • Other administrative duties to include ordering supplies, compiling reports, etc.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Required Skills:

    • Detail-oriented and highly organized
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite skills (including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Mail Merge)
    • Strong social media skills (including Hootsuite, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Outstanding phone skills (comfortable with outbound cold calls to potential sponsors, donors, and fundraising teams)
    • Excellent internet research skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Must be flexible, self-starter, and able to multi-task
    • Maintain a working knowledge of the LLS's mission and programs to promote the Society's fundraising, research, and patient initiatives.
    • Previous volunteer management, customer service, and/or fundraising experience preferred 
    • Experience with special events, fundraising, non-profits, and marketing

    Education & Experience Requirements: 

    • High School, Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • 0 -1 year of fundraising, communications, sales, marketing, event planning experience

    Physical Demands & Work Environment:

    • Physical demands are minimal and typical of similar jobs in comparable organizations
    • Work environment is representative and typical of similar jobs in comparable organizations
    • May be required to move Campaign materials weighing up to 15 pounds for various events.
    • May be required to travel within the Chapter's designated area.
    • Required to work some evenings or weekends, as need dictates.
